|The sounds of Nature|
When I'm drawing, I always feel that I take away everyone. For example with me to the Okavango Delta in Botswana. A spectacuilaire trip I try to capture in thirteen drawings.
That was just around the corner of a totally different nature world.
Then back again but the world of 'near', where as much to see and do: the forest, heath, meadows and islands, or just the garden. Otherwise, of course. But you see the beauty and richness that we have here around us if you just dust off your eyes - when you're trying to look as if you are a small child.
What a beautiful creature that salamander in the pond. Nicely, that cheeky dandelion with his final fluff. Bumblebee heavily dusted with pollen crawling out of a calyx. A deep sense of happiness when you see a couple of godwits in the meadows with a bunch of kids between flowering grasses and buttercups. The excitement if you see a rare butterfly ... there's so much variosity!
A very good friend ever served us on a tour with a whisper boat through Weerribben. Drink it, a cheese and sausage cubes. Carefully we tacked between spatterdocks and water lilies by, listened to reed warblers and sedge warblers. We tried to recall all damselflies and dragonflies by name. What a day!
It felt just as exciting as the trip by canoe Komoro on the Okavango Delta. But wonderfully close to us!
